So, I found out yesterday that I am going to be having surgery on February 20. I have to stay in the hospital over night and take the first two weeks off from work. Then I have to be non-weight bearing for another 6 weeks which means crutches and knee scooters for a while. The bright side is that I am going to get to park in the parking ramp at work for a few months for free!
I am a little nervous about it, I haven’t had major surgery since I was 6 months old. But at the same time, I know that it is going to make everything all better. I am tired of being in pain. So, I am not sure what I am going to do for the first two weeks. I guess I will spend a lot of time at Aaron’s since he is going to have high speed internet and 200 channels on TV. He doesn’t know it yet J but I would be bored out of my mind at my apartment! I am thinking however, that I am going to have to get my TV hauled over to his house into one of the spare rooms because I have to keep my leg elevated above my heart so I am probably going to be spending a lot of time in bed.
Keep me in your prayers please! I am a little scared and have a lot to do before the surgery with doctors appointments to clear me to have the surgery and such. Also, I will welcome any visitors during my boring stint of doing nothing for 2 weeks.
On a lighter note, we are having a heat wave today! Its supposed to get up to a whopping 30 degrees!! Woo hoo!!
