Ouch....

I never realized one could be this sore from working on a house. Every muscle in my body seems to ache. But the house is coming along! Hopefully Aaron will be able to move in this week!! There is still a lot to get done though… mostly painting on my part. Aaron is still working on refinishing the hardwood floors and they should be installing carpet and linoleum this week.

Last week I went home sick on New Years Eve and took around a 3 hour nap then ran some errands. Later that night I was a little upset because Aaron had to work and I wanted to watch the ball drop with him and kiss him at midnight… you know, all that sappy stuff. So I called my bestest good friend Rach and she saved me. I went over to her house around 10:30 and we went for a drive… we drove around downtown a very little bit and it was crazy!!! So many people and cars…. Sheesh….. Then at about 11:45-11:50 we went to Aarons work. Then I went in the break room at Aarons work and watched the ball drop with him. It was neat…. Hopefully next year will be different. I love him :) Thank you for being my savior the other night bff!!! LY!!! Bniagw.

So then we worked on the house the rest of the weekend. Lots of people came over Saturday to help which was amazing. Its really starting to look like a home! It was just so gross before and so blah… but now its character is coming through. It is going to be a beautiful place when Aaron is done with it…. Some of his friends and he and I were talking in the living room and he asked me about something and I told him that was up to him because its his house and he said “no, its our house” which gave me butterflies but I told him he hadn’t earned that right yet (I need some bling and some vows first if you know what I mean). So we have been working on the house so much that I was even dreaming about it last night! I dreamt that I was painting the trim for the doors and the baseboards but I was doing them all in really bright pink and really bright yellow! Crazy… Aaron called me when he got out of work this morning and told me that if he goes to the house and sees the trim in pink and yellow that he is going to make me see a doctor for sleep-painting.

So needless to say I would rather be sleeping than working right now, but you gotta do what you gotta do. So have a great day while I try to keep my eyes open…..
